Good day all, scanned a JCB JS130+ (2012 model) SN: 1786789 It shows "313 THR CAN" on the monitor with buzzer on, remains on low idle. No throttle response. After some checks and tried the throttle calibration it worked for about 2 hours and the error came back. Now it won't go. At times, the code changes to 309 and 308 as well. According to the JCB service master 4, it's an unknown error code and shows "SPN 5418" This throttle actuator has 4-pins; supply, ground and two for the CAN bus. Power and ground checks out great, the CAN Resistor nearby actuator also within its specs (120 ohms) Any advice on how to pin-point whether it's the ECM or if the actuator faulty? Or if there are any literature on this particular error code. Actuator is quite pricy to purchase to swap just to confirm. Thanks.
Turns out was the engine harness connector hidden away at the counterweight and was covered in moist, greasy muck. The CAN pinouts in there were corroded badly, after cleaning everything was back to normal.
