Just got a 310D from a neighbor. This machine has had a non working park brake system for years. Previous owner said too expensive to fix so I’m guessing the brake band in axle failed or linkage inside axle so they just put a stabilizer down when needed. Anyway It now blows the dipstick out of the reverser. No air in the fluid while operating but a second after you shut the machine off you can hear the pressure pushing the dipstick and oil foams. I’m assuming it’s the park brake cylinder having bad seals letting the air in??? My question is can I just cage the park cylinder and cap the line to it off?
