Fuses are good. Any ideas?
Is there power to the fuse box? Maybe a fusible link close to the battery cable? just a guess. Did this happen out of the blue, or did somebody fess up?
Thank You I was working with it, shut it off for a few minutes and then when I pushed the button to start it, there was no power. There is power to the dome light and the horn. No power to the fuse box. Thank You for your answer. I will check that tomorrow.
I'm stumped. Doesn't seem like it would be a fusible link if the horn and light still work? sorry.
There is a large relay in the rear right electrical compartment that seems to fail, does the cab make a beep when you press the start button?
Thank You for trying, but no, no beep. No sound at all when you press the start button, dead.
Lights come on, on the sealed switch module?
My 544k needs a code entered.
Exactly, does it light up the sealed switch module (your keypad)
Thank You, No, Nothing lights up except for the dome light....
Ok, there are two big fuses in the engine compartment that are mounted on the hyd tank, check them.
Thank You, I'll check for those... I'll check for those fuses in the morning. Again, Thank You !!!
Ill look at my service manual a bit tomorrow too see if anything else makes sense
JD Tech, by phone diagnosed problem as... JD Tech believes the electronic board to the switches has burned out. He is sending the $800 part, hopefully he's correct, as electronic parts are not returnable! Thank You for trying, it was greatly appreciated!
The vehicle electrical center ie. the fuse box? That's a new one to me I am going to have to keep that in the back of my mind.
Am having similar issue with 544k-11 however lights come on on the keypad beep in the cab. Start button starts flashing after 5-10 seconds. Display also eventually comes up with “lost communications check wire connections”
Welcome to HEF Birrong ! First, a complete machine serial number. That will help with accessing accurate information. You should also start your own thread rather than resurrect an old thread. In the dash, press and hold the select button to enter the service menu. Go to codes and post all the codes by their number, both stored and active. There should be digits anywhere fro 4 to 6 digits long followed by a decimal and 2 more digits. (XXXX.XX or XXXXXX.XX). Then clear them. Try to start the machine and post what comes back.
Serial no 1BZ544kALND001295 unable to get codes screen/dash has “communications interrupted, check wire connections” ingnition button starts flashing after around 15 seconds all fuses except jd link related fuses have 24v
So, what you are saying is the display only ever shows "communication interrupted"? It does not display the normal screen when powered up? Check your K4 ignition relay. It is in the load center which is the compartment under the fuses. It is accessed from the right side of the machine behind the panel below the right side window.
Any updates on this bjh1? Having the same exact issue with my 844k.
Turned out to be a faulty TCM
