JD315SJK service Brake piston has damage from pinion brg failure debris.

JD315SJK service Brake piston and brake plate have surface damage from failure debris (pinion brg). Is there a tolerance allowed for the piston/Plate surfaces be cleaned up (Surface ground) .

    Hi there mg2361, and thanks for the response. Is your advice based on the fact that there is no allowable tolerance for machining even just a polish. Where I am parts are not available ex stock and prices are unreal.

    Deere does not offer specs for min/max plate thickness, so I cannot supply an answer. They only offer a minimum disc thickness spec.

    4.5 mm (0.177 inch) minimum thickness.
