I am the owner of a 1990 JLG 40HA manlift that I purchased to work around my rental properties. I am having an issue with the lower two main boom lift cylinders. The lower cylinder is extended to it's limits and the upper main lift cylinder is retracted. The manual states to release the Red knob under the lower control box, I have no red knob. Are there any people out there that remember working on these old machine that could give me some guidance here? Thanks in advance. The machine looks like it would be well suited for my use once I can get this sorted out. It is the Duetz air cooled diesel model.
