I was pushing a downed tree which got under the machine and everything suddenly stopped. (No electrical except STOP light on the dash). I looked under the machine and there were two small wires hanging loose under the rear axel. I grounded both and the engine turns but does not start. They must be for a safety switch Does anyone have an idea as to what they are and where they should be connected?

Hello Farmer-Jim! Welcome to the HEF. Holy cow. First of all, don’t panic. We’ll work through this together. Cool heads will prevail. Those wires might not have anything to do with this disaster. What kind of tree was it? We need some information. What do you farm, BTW? I farm rabbits. Huge operation. But, no tractor, alas.
