my John Deere 240 wants to take off as soon as I switch off the parking brake so I have to hold both controls with my knees and then wrangle it in after the brake comes off, it also makes a terrible grinding sound while this process is taking place, I’m mechanically incline but new to skid steers. Wondering if this is a common problem and if so how to fix it
Yes, a common issue, it has to do with the centering mechanism on the pumps,( under the cab.) LINK to deere parts page. Might be able to adjust or may need to replace wear parts.
