I parked my 328 d and the next day it would not turn over. No DTC set. Sit in seat emu lights up, pull lap bar down turn key gauges go to right back to left. turn key to start and nothing. I have replsced starter and start solenoid but it has not changed a thing, Have checked all wiring and all checked with continuity. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Welcome Fred. That's a fairly big statement. Load testing or checking battery Ve & amps while turning the key is a good place to start but sounds like you've already checked that? What does the battery voltage drop to if your on the key to start? Does it drop at all? If you're getting key start circuit power to the starter solenoid... and main power has good continuity to the solenoid and starter from the battery (including earth either through the starter motor mounting bolts or an earth cable if equipped)... and you've tested the solenoid to make sure it's energising/switching then that only leaves the starter motor itself. If you're not getting start circuit power at the starter solenoid that's a completely different story.
Park brake switch on?
Do you have auxiliary hydraulics? If you do make sure that is turned off.
