we have a 1992 455 track loader with torque convertor engine dies down when under load, new tranfer pump new injection pump, lines cleaned, new fuel filter. nothing has worked, new injectors and valvle job nothing. someone said torque convertor has anyone had this trouble
About the only thing I've seen fail on the t/c is the outer bearing goes to hell but that wouldn't cause your symptoms. I'd put a gauge between the transfer pump and injection pump to see if you are getting steady supply pressure.
How many hrs on the engine? Could be compression... I'm not thinking it's the torque converter, that won't cause your engine to lug.
