John Deere 700J K3 condenser relay & K4 compressor relay location

texczech · 2026-04-10 07:47

I need to know where these 2 relays are located on this 700J dozer. Having an issue with the condener fans running anytime the key is on even though the compressor is not turned on.

There are 2 different flavours of 700J , what’s the serial # ? The fuses and relays are behind panel #42 in screenshot below. The panel should have a decal on the backside indicating the fuses and relays circuits.

That serial # does not have a K3 condenser fans relay or a K4 compressor relay. The (2) condenser fans and A/C compressor power supplies are both controlled by A/C relay K5. With the heater blower motor switch “on“ and the A/C switch in the upper console is “on” , the 2 condenser fans are suppose to run and the A/C compressor clutch is engaged. From your problem description it sounds like the F10 A/C compressor fuse is blown. Check your messages for an electrical schematic.

Thank You. This unit is at a remote location and I will probably get there next week sometime. This thing started off as a decelerator problem, but on further diagnosis had a lot of wiring damage behind the dash from mice. We were able to cut a nice hole on the right side of the dash panel to get in there and get the wires spliced back together and this was the only issue that re-occured after all the wiring was patched/spliced.

went to check on unit and condenser fan was operating correctly. Was used for about 10 hours, and it quit moving according to operator, need to go back again. this all started when mice chewed wires off behind the dash...and we repaired the wires.

Do the blade hydraulic functions still work ? Any active transmission service codes ? See screenshot below to access codes.

The machine has recently had some odd goings on and several codes appeared, according to the operator. We have had some much needed rain and the machine has & willl be unused until weather permits. It seems that there is one function problem, it goes away and another one comes, with codes. Again, Thank You for the assistance.

Let me know if you need any schematics.

operator has been using machine on and off. It will work for few hours and then set codes, then the next day about the same He got F3d0 one day ThrL another day F3K3 another and F314 another. I am going out real soon. seems like something is getting warm or there are some wiring issues. The problem not. consistent. I am thinking a JD tech with the scanner will be able to do some better diagnostics with the intermittent issues.
