Mobiltech ยท 2021-04-12 11:11

We have an 850J that the track tension cylinder has rolled over on and cant access the grease fittings. What causes this and what has to be done to fix it? 850J - DOZER, CRAWLER. 850JXVBD200480

Looks like the tensioner cylinder goes thru and cages the recoil spring it dont show anything to keep it from spinning have to pull covers off and try to spin it back maybe weld a arm to keep it from rotating

I wonder if the number 6 bushing maybe has notches in it to index something in the track frame.

Maybe should be some way to hold it

No need for retention, nothing in the world will ever cause it to turn... except a broken spring, and then you gotta go in after it anyway. That's my guess, YMMV.

there is a saddle that it sits on that keeps it from rolling. The bolts were broken. Easy fix.
