Has anyone had any experience good or bad with the Kobelco SK-295? Looking at buying one.
Gray market machine- not intended for US sales so parts and support may be hard to come by. We handle most of the components and Kobelco has come back to the US as of this year. Hopefully it will be for good. They make a great excavator and are great competition for Hitachi.
This machine is at a Kobelco dealer that claims that parts and service should not be an issue? It is a CNH machine with a FPT engine Tier 4. Just dont want to have something that nobody will be able to get parts for or work on. I have 3 older (2006-2008) Kobelcos that we love and dont have trouble with but when we do parts and service dont seem to be a problem. Thanks for the help!
It's not a gray market machine and you won't have trouble with product support. It's not a popular size is all. Most opt for 35 ton machine (SK350) once you get up to that size. All depends on how you plan to use it. Reliability has been very good on this series.
