This machine is giving me fits. Engine shakes like under a load, fluid heats up quickly and it loses hydraulic power. The blade circuit does not have hydraulic power when lowering the blade, it falls by gravity only but raises and holds just fine. Any ideas?
I would only guess that possibly the main hydraulic pump or the pump coupling may have an issue that may be causing the vibration and/or overheating. Worn out rear engine mounts could also be a possible issue for the vibration. The blade dropping down and not powering down could be a relief valve or control valve issue, these are usually a separate control valve assembly operated via a cable but if you need any confirmation on what your machine may or may not have you would need to state the full model, year and serial number of the machine. Thank you, let me know if there is any specific service information you would like for your machine. Kind regards
Just trying to sort out the hydraulic issue
Anybody have any ideas? Main relief? Circuit relief? How do you test forthat?
I can only provide you with the information I have from a SK70SR-1E (YT04-) manual so please note this when doing any testing and tracing. It should be very close if not matching to the same specification that yoU have. You will need test point fittings, test hoses and gauges to check the hydraulic pressures. For the dozer drop try checking dozer pump raise and lower pressures, you can try swapping dozer relief valves OR9 with OR10, and also checking the center joint seals and cylinder seals which completes the dozer hydraulic circuit. With this information others here will also be able to help you with your troubleshooting.
Good Luck in getting the issues sorted. Kind regards
