I got a 2003 ex65-15 dozer that the tranny started over heating all the sudden. it has 5000 hours on it so we changed the tranny filters and pre-screener and made sure the radiator and tranny cooler were clear and clean but still it overheats. Has anyone had this happen to there komatsu dozer?
pre screnner is that the screen in the bottom suction side also there is another one on the opposite side and the poc screen on top any iron? alluminum Did you test it to make sure its not a gauge problem. whats eng stall? check psi clutch tourge conv in&out. oil level right. A quik seat of the pants check for the proper cooling stall it get it hot put it in neutral full throttle you should see the gauge drop back to normal in 3-5 min if it dosent got conv problems.or pluged cooler need to take psi at that point.
Dash 15 dozers have a few issues.....pull up all overheating times on monitor and read all seqence#'s and let me know...
Dash-15 help :usa:usaBean, the triangle shaped cover on the convertor is the t/c suction and the square one is the transmission or power module screen...pull both and look very close to the debris.....is only takes a little to cause restriction. if all is clean then take clean rag and wipe out inside of screen holes ...if ok then ther is only two places to look. Make sure brake pedal is all the way up, pull with hand....should be 0 kgs. with pedal up....#2 check cooler in front of engine below the harmonic balancer......remove two hoses and 4 bolts send out for cleaning....
thanks guys! i will start checking that stuff my mechanic thinks its the scavenger pump or is he wrong
Check the brakes for binding. Put the tractor on a slight slope in neutral. It should freewheel easily. If not, check the bearings in the brake pedal. They often get dirt in them and make the brake pedal stay down.
found the problem it was the brake petal stuck on it gets hung up about a inch from a fully released
brake stuck.......... I am so glad that it was only the brake pedal stuck...simple fix...because it could of gotten expensive if you had to get in the power module....take care...:usa
