How do I delete or bypass dpf on a Komatsu to get it off limp mode? It is a Komatsu 290

You probably have to empty the filter. If you bypass it, the control unit will just sense that the filter is full and flag the warning again. That's the way it is on my JD 290GLC - I have no idea of how the Komatsu treats its DPF.

It's illegal to do that over here.........but laws were meant to be broken......just not by me.

Thank you for the replies. It has LO4 on the dash

Start by reading off the codes. JohnC has a very informative YouTube channel to guide you to the service screen. Address the cause and move on. If your gov't allows removal, contact your dealer. Please don't ask for any additional information regarding deletes here as that is a forbidden subject.

How many hours? Also, how do you know it's the filter causing derate? Is it full of DEF?
