2004 pc50mr-2 has slow side swing. 2500hrs, everything else works flawlessly, boom up/down/out/in, bucket in/out, blade up/down all perfect. we timed the cab doing 360 rotations and it was 6 seconds slower then it should be. any ideas?

Redline, Have you checked the pedal for the auxilliary hydraulics? (hammer circuit?). Believe it or not, I had the same thing happen on one of our rental fleet PC50MR-2's, and found a very slight bit of dirt packed under the foot pedal....this caused that valve to stay just a crack open, and it took pressure and flow away from the swing circuit. If not there, check to see that the boom swing pedal does not have the same condition. Let us know what you find...I'd be happy to help further. Tony

alright, it turned out being a pump pressure adjustment. apparently there is a main pump that controls everything but the swing and blade. on top of that pump is another smaller pump that powers the swing and blade, the output pressures were not correct, bumped up the pressure to what it should be, timed it and now it is with in spec.

Are you sure you are not compensating for what Tony suggested? You should check that - its these types of things that lead to the downward spiral of hydraulic machines. A Komatsu should NOT need pump adjustment after 2500 hours - we are talking best hydraulic systems in the world here.

I will double check what tony said, the machine was under warranty, which is expired now, but the local dealer performed the repair. my sales man couldn't remember if it was and adjustment or they replaced the pump? i am pretty sure they just adjusted it. i asked about why it would be out of adjustment, they think it was out from the factory and it just got over looked?
