Purchased a refurbished excavator from a company that buys them in Japan, ships them to Vietnam to be rebuilt, allegedly from the ground up. It’s near impossible to start cold, no block heater. I did a compression test, 1-425, 2-350 & 4-380 psi. That’s a deviation of almost 22% from high to low, that’s not good. Also checked a glo plug, grounded it and turned the key to heat, nothing, not even warm, this with new glo plugs, tried the old ones as well, nothing. Also the oil fill cap will pop off when cranking it over, certainly some blow by, albeit the cap fits very loosely, most tell me, even a loose cap shouldn’t pop off from blow back. They have a new motor sitting in the shop, help me make my case to get it installed. Thanks, Mark
