I have an idea to prototype a product but the Kubota engine dealers in this area don't seem to "get it." They won't return calls or anything and my colleagues agree they are pretty well worthless. Do you guys know of any dealer with a salesman who would talk to us about selling a simple ~1 liter engine with SAE drive on the back of it for our project?
Have you tried Yanmar?
Without spilling the beans too much, nobody but Kubota has the engine we want for this purpose. We do use Yanmar with good success for other purposes.
Buy a used machine with the engine you want and pull the engine .If you can’t get it one way you have to try another
I don't know what an SAE drive is, but maybe get a machine shop to make ya one, and graft it onto an existing engine?
