Hello, a customer reached out to me with what it seems to be a problem with the immobilizer device. Sometimes he can't start the machine whole day; then tomorrow it starts ten times in a row; then in the evening can't start again. Sometimes the code for immobilizer device flashes; sometimes not. The service manual doesn't say much about this topic; almost nothing. I've never worked on this machine and I would like to hear from somebody how is familiar with the immobilizer device and how it works. Thanks!
Wonder if the immobilizer would have a small battery in it. Recently checked a no start on friends F250 pick up. Had him change keys and guess what it started. His little watch battery was junk in the key. Not saying that is your problem, hope you find it and is cheap to fix. Have not worked on one of these units yet. Simon C
