My friend's Ls170 charges fine, but the voltage is slow to climb (takes about 5 to 7 seconds to get to 14 volts) when started, thus it triggers the light and alarm. Any ideas? Weak ground to the alternator? Starts immediately with lots of starter power. thanks!
Load test the battery first always, sounds like its GOOD,The alt has 3 Y windings , its possible 1 or even 2 of the winding are bad, causing it to still put out, but at a reduced level
