I have a 2000 LS180 skid steer and it recently starting smoking (white smoke) badly, running rough and losing power badly. It also is using anti-freeze. No leaks,. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe a head gasket? If the machine sits for a while it's runs fine at first and the longer you run it the worst it gets? Oil level is ok.
Needs a head gasket, possibly some work on the head.
X2 on the head gasket. Might also be a cracked head or block. Once you get the head off, check freeze plugs, for leaks or blowout, too...
