Makita ds 4012 1/2 drill for honning

Hello, does anyone has already use a makita ds4012 1/2 drill(or dewalt dw130v) to run the sunnen stones in boring hole? Is it powerful enough for this job? Thanks!!!

    I did a couple cylinders lately, 4"ers, and some 8.5"ers, with my dewalt 18v rechargeable. Be in an 8.75 next week with it. Does fine. I have the larger sunnen hone, whatever the number is.

    Mink, don't overlook -20C temps gears & oils eat up power when it is cold.

    Very true, big cylinders and cold eat power.
