I'm thinking of draining ATF out of system, and putting in Regular hyd. oil. What is the best way to drain system? Will it hurt if some ATF is still in, because unlikely to get all out? It has a Vickers pump. Or should I stay with ATF? Haven't used it yet. Bought it used and trying to fix it up. Had a leaking cylinder repacked, and the mechanic said I should get all the ATF out and put a good hydraulic oil in. That the ATF would ruin the pump. Would appreciate any help on this.
