Our Bobcat MT-55 when going in reverse is very slow, and it is making a whining noise, any ideas?

ok ok ok gezzzz pop open the tailgate, lay down and have a look up at the linkage. see if anything is loose, or "dont look right" theres also a reverse travel speed limiter, it's the black knob at the rear of the steering handle that slides left to right. :drinkup
Ya the reverse control is maxed out, I will take a look at the linkage, as sometimes in reverse I feel like I am pulling at the controls
