Hello all im new here, and need some help on a old backhoe its a 1980 case 680g shuttle shift ..my problem is the air button on the dash that releases the brakes has two lines one about a 1/4in dia..and the other is about 1/8in dia..the 1/8 line i have no idea where it hooks up when i have the button pulled out no air releases out of the small line but when i push it in air poors out of the small line..so right now we just have it pinched off ..so if their is anyone that knows where this line hooks up i would be more than greatfull to know, thanks in advance..Dave
Welcome to the forum mer. :usa Would you be referring to this gizmo?
Are your parking brakes releasing ? When you push the button in , that sends air to both air chambers to release the parking brakes.
the only way i can get'em to release is to hold the button in.. we have a flip hinge bolted on the dash to hold the button in...
You have either a leaking air line going to the brake chambers or a leaking bladder in one of the chambers. Look for more than one leak. Run the engine until you have at least 120 psi in the system. Then shut the engine off and charge the parking brake circuit with the button held down. You should be able to hear the leak. Read this thread dated 03-26-2010. It pretty much covers the situation.
thanks Yes!!!! thank you and God Bless...
