Here in Florida I have seen the 305E. Its a great machine. It has a new 4 cylinder engine. Smoother hydraulics, decreased fuel consumption, cab machine have new feature called compass on them that allows you to fine tune the machine to the operators level of comfort. Very nice touch. Also have a new seat in the cab that is much more comfortable.

308e We have a 308 which I have now operated for over 300hours, it is a lovely machine to operate, its smooth and very quick. Previously I had a 307c which done 7000hours which was a nice machine, but not a patch on the 308e, our family business has been running for over 40 years, I am really pleased with the machine and would recomend it to anyone.

thanks Jackie, i too buy excavators cause they look good on the photo. Wil7, can i be cheeky and ask how much? Being from the uk !!! We have ordered 2 but they are yet to confirm price,(started at 50k) and delivery date, which was orginally June, However they should be with us by the end of the year. i prefer reliability, running costs, then resale as well as being nice to drive, before the tint of the orange on the flashing beacon. Also did you purchase cat buckets as they were about 3 times dearer than standard? And last one for now what options have you gone for? extra services, rear counter weight, hitch, a think everything else standard. Any news in USA, come on i thought you guys would have them first!!!

cat 308 Eamon, if you are looking for reliability you won't go far wrong with a cat machine, we paid about £51k for our 308 and depending what your doing it seems slightly more economical then the 307, we had 6 new 'Geith' buckets with hydraulic quickhitch as for extras we had extra worklamps, no rear counter weight we also had ours on steel tracks the machine came with continuous flow on hammer circuit which consist of 2 pipes either side.
