I recently bought a 2006 L185 and I’m doing the first service on it. I changed the engine oil and put in 8.5 quarts of 15w-40 per the owners manual. Now comes my dilemma. The dipstick shows that the oil is way over full. About double what it should be. Could be possible that i have the wrong dipstick? What do you guys recommend? Sticking with 8.5 quarts per the manual or draining some until it’s right on the stick? I did verify that the engine is the original, also. Thanks in advance.
