The oil analyses is a great idea if you know how to read it. I'm looking at a crawler for sale and reading Silicon, lead, tin, copper, aluminum, silver, nickel, chromium, iron, glycol, water and fuel and ppm on the oil analyses but don't know what levels or parts per million are acceptable:beatsme. Does anyone know how many parts per million are good and how many are telling me to run away from the machine? Thanks
Your sheet from the lab should give you acceptable levels but it isnt realy the ppm on one test it is more a trend being set between many tests. here is a link to something that might help you. www.oil-lab.com/.../How_to_Read_Oil_Analysis_Reports.pdf
