Oil for chain case on 863 bobcat

Can I use 10 30 or 10 40. In chain case. On Hyd res where the hell is the drain. Wanting to change the fluids

    bobcat recommends hyd oil in the chaincase. same oil thats in the hyd system. i'm assuming the hyd tank is mounted behind the cab, theres no "drain" per say, remove one of the small hyd hoses from the bottom of the tank and let it drain. tank capacity is approx 5 gallons. if the tank is mounted inside the LH side of the frame, remove the LH drive motor access cover, you'll find a hose or 2 you can remove from the bottom of the tank :drinkup

    One method that can be used to "drain" the hyd. tank when no drain is available is to disconnect say one of the tilt cylinder hoses and put the end in a barrel. Start machine and operate control to pump the oil out. As soon as you see air in the oil kill engine. Pump is not under any load so a second or two low on oil will not cause a problem. Just takes a little common sense.
