still need info on parking brake adjustment. Anyone got any? also need to get exploded view on braking system.
they are not too hard to adjust. just a bit awkward. Lift the seat up and look inside, you should se two grey hydraulic cylinders. One on each side of the pumpstack. the cylinders have only one hose going to them as they are spring applied, Hydraulic released. The base end of the cyl. is fixed to a pin on the frame while the rod end goes to a curved arm. the curved arm is splined to the brake cam and held on by a set screw and jam nut. Now for the adjustment. Remove the Goofy clip that holds the cyl. to the curved arm. now the curved arm should move around freely. Loosen jam nut and slide arm off the splines and reposition a few splines over the correct direction. You will have to figure out which way to rotate for each side. Remember that when the unit is off the brakes should be applied. ie:cyl fully extended. Rotate the now repositioned curved arm so the cyl pin slides into the hole on the arm and install a R clip or something other than the factory clip. I hate those clips, as I will always end up bleeding from the sharp edges. Oh yeah, then repeat for the other side. Helpful hints... padding or blanket for your chest/knees when leaning into bell of skid. Trouble/flash light. Its pretty dark under there. Occasionally i have had better luck doing some of the work through the side, with the fenders removed. Good luck. NH parts breakdown can be found on their website. Cheers.
