Pavijet Mini Paver Finisher now in the USA

Mini Paver · 2013-09-12 09:50

Hi Y'all! I am trying to get the word out on a new mini paver that is now available in the USA. The Pavijet has been very popular in Europe (it is made in Italy) and we have just brought it to North America. We have had tremendous success with it here in the Midwest. It can navigate tight spaces, obstacles, and is perfect for repairs, shoulders, and utility trench work. One crew just laid 8 tons of asphalt in an hour. If you do a lot of repairs or difficult job sites, you'll save time and your back with this mini paver! Pavijet can be used to fill, pave, and finish an entire project at speeds up to 82’/min. It lays hot and cold asphalt, as well as cement, sand, millings and crushed stones. Paving ranges from 7.87” to 74.80” wide at heights of -1.97” to 9.84”, with a hopper capacity of just under 50 cubic feet. The hopper is filled directly by the dump truck or loader/excavator, eliminating the need for manual loading and further increasing the efficiency. Modular attachment of the Pavijet to a skid-steer loader is mechanical, and Pavijet can be unloaded from the truck by the same skid steer. PTO hydraulics, with attachments available for any model skid steer, provide power for the fully retractable hydraulic screed and hopper features which can be controlled from the operators seat or via remote control. Weighing in at 1,567 lbs, its small size makes it the most versatile, easy to transport, and maneuverable mini paver finisher available in North America. Since the manufacturer is located in Italy and has international patents, there may be a distributor that sells in Australia. Check out the manufacturer website at http://malavasig.it/en/ Best of luck!

Similar to a sidewinder that hooks to a skid steer

Just purchased one in February on Ritchie bros auction Parts are very expensive have fabricated some ourselves for a tremendous savings Should be paving with it next week Let you know how it goes

What parts would you have to make for a new machine?

  9. #9dscont2019-07-07 00:55

We have built a new inner shoe for the screed and a new lift cylinder for the right side wing the tolerance is so close that if any asphalt builds up behind the cylinder it bends the rod and breaks the cylinder cap

Let you know after tomorrow going to lay about 1500 feet of trench

  14. #14KSSS2019-07-12 09:18

How did your patch go with the Pavijet?

  15. #15dscont2019-07-12 21:36

Definitely a learning curve. Did about 1200' in 3 hours street had many different angles and humps and bumps it adapted pretty well. We ate missing the auger extension so will have to fabricate one of them. Definitely a game changer for trench patching

  16. #16KSSS2019-07-14 18:20

When you buy new, they send someone out to go through set up and work with you on a project. Would that have helped with the learning curve? How was the quality of the patch? We are hoping for a reduction in manpower verse typical patching. We are on a project through the end of the year that is Davis Bacon wage scale, so quality and labor reduction is the goal. I have my name on one of these that is supposed to be hitting the ground at CAT any day now. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...6066B54F2FFE267B89C26066B54F2FFE267&FORM=VIRE

We were on a prevailing wage job Definitely cut the labor by almost half. A little help probably would have made a little difference but the job we were on had many angles and obstacles definitely a better patch job than by hand
