Pivot rotation on hydraustatic steering

Usually on the komatsu dozer like the D275AX-5 (50 tons machine) when steering, the hydraulic motor allow one track to run faster and the other track run slower, so the machine is really smooth . If I use pivot rotation steering, in other word the brake will be applied on one side track, is it dangerous for final drive planetary and differential planetary of a machine that size?

I don't think this machine is hydrostatic but it shouldn't hurt any machine to brake one side to do a sharper turn as long you're not pushing into the side of a pile or something else solid.
