I am looking for a dozer with a 6 way blade to finish 1/4 mile of road, create 2 stormwater ponds and cut and fill (small amounts) on my acreage. No trees or rocks. An old fellow has a Komatus D31A for sale (approx 500 miles away). He says it is in good shape and only needs rockguards. The price is within my range. He says it is a little bigger than a Cat D3. Anyone out there with comments on this machine (price of parts, fuel consumption) or would recommend a better choice of machines. Upper $ limit is $15000.
