Interesting story Tones, thanks for posting. I’m glad they went to all the trouble to recover it. Do you know if it has been restored to operating condition at this point?
I believe it is fully restored to as built and in semi retirement.

I had the opportunity to operate one for a bit at the Rock and Dirt Show in Edgerton, WI a few years ago. I never pushed it to the max as I did not want to take a chance on breaking something but it was a unique machine for sure. The twin engine was a hoot to operate and steer with. Not much need for the steering clutches most of the time. I am a loyal fan of the screaming Jimmy's so the noise only heightened the experience.
