Anyone have a good source for Remanned older Perkins engines? Specifically a 4.236 is70118u. Found one at diesel parts direct, but there have to be more out there.
Very popular engine. Might want to check with Massey Ferguson dealers. They might know where to get remaned parts. Cat used them in some forklifts too.
Ck the boat yards too, lot of sailboats use that engine. Joe H
Interestingly the 4-236 was the 1st Perkins designed specifically for tractor applications. I believe it had some kind of balance shaft added. Proved to be a very reliable engine and used in a lot of applications. Well over a million made.
