Hopefully I can get to this in the near future. I was wondering what some of you more experienced mechanics thought of this idea. Instead of taking the heavy and awkward rotary cylinder off vertically, taking the boom off and laying the mounting plate with the rotary cylinder flat on it's back and just lifting the rotary cylinder out with a sling? I've had the boom off before when I repaired the swing post and thought it might be easier than trying to remove it in position.
