Mike Guffey 7/19/1982 - 6/22/2025 Today I learned of the passing of my friend Mike. He was a fellow operator and Union brother, father of 5 and loving husband. We met working on Rainier and kept up in the intervening years. Those numbers above are far too close together.

I'm sorry that your good friend passed away way too soon. The photo of him in the loader sure expresses what kind of person he was. The smiles on the three of them is priceless !

@Welder Dave he had a heart attack he could not survive. His first and last. He had worked for Tucci on the mountain bids every time they got one, and in the lowlands in the other years. Yesterday they had a gathering on the mountain and his wife got to go meet the crew and hear all the stories. It did her good. They named him employee of the month and used that great picture of him and the kids.

We attended the memorial and a new chapter begins for that family. There are some big shoes to fill . I passed the hat at another forum and matched what the others donated. It was not much but she knows we cared.
