I have a 1800 scat trak that is losing 15 gallons oil a week just sitting. any ideas on how to locate it? pulled back cab and had engine running but see no obvious spraying anywhere. any ideas? dye?
I am assuming we are talking about hydraulic oil. I would look at the tank sump . iirc, it's a plastic tank. Sometimes the hose that feeds the charge/equipment pump will become brittle and not seal around the tank nipple. There has to be a trail , somewhere leading back to where your losing oil. Good luck
