new to this forum so forgive me for being slow, here is what happened inherited a 310 john Deere backhoe from my father when he passed away it has been working perfect, yesterday went to load hay with it worked fine, coming back to the barn with it steering got stiff for just a second then returned to normal. Got on it today to load some gravel hydraulics very slow and weak and steering is stiff as well, trans fluid level is good goes forward and backwards fine seems to have plenty of power to the wheels. And i forgot its a plain 310 no letters or anything, thanks for any replies. we run mostly case and Kubota so john deere stuff new to me

Is your hydraulic oil level low?

hydraulic oil level is no full mark, transmission filters and sump screen were changed in January, and if this helps the transmission pump and front clutch pack were redone about two years ago by john Deere. one thing i did leave out i also don't have brakes now on it they quit working as well
