Needed to clear a half mile of road today. The tracks on my case 450 built ice around the track bushings to the point that the tracks were banjo tight! Had to stop. Any way to stop that, all ready have the holes in the pads.
Are the holes the right size? The old crap shoot on how big can you go and not weaken the pad to much. Even with ice tracks they will often still run tight, especially in real wet heavy snow. The holes should relieve the snow instead of busting the track though. We used to run the tracks a bit loose when spring logging in wet snow 45 years ago.
