This one is a swinging classic. Always gets the toes tapping.

Check the swing bearing (slew ring) for wear or damage. Excessive play or wear in the bearing causes backlash and cab bounce. Signs include wobbling, rocking motion, grinding noises, or metal flakes in lubricant. Inspect the swing motor and hydraulic system for leaking seals or internal leaks, which can cause inconsistent swing control. Verify the hydraulic fluid condition and level; low or contaminated fluid impacts swing performance. Examine the swing control valve for internal leaks or clogging that may cause delayed or erratic movement. Look for worn or damaged swing gears or bearings that can cause play or binding in the swing system. Assess if overloading or operating on uneven terrain might be causing mechanical stress or hydraulic overload. A common process to debug involves: Visually inspect swing bearing and gears for play or damage. Check and change hydraulic fluid if contaminated. Test hydraulic pressure and function of swing motor and control valve. Lubricate swing gears and bearing as per maintenance guidelines. Consider swing system rebuild or replacement if wear is extensive. There are also helpful posts and videos about swing bearing maintenance and swing assist technology for smoother operation which you can checkout.
