T250 hydraulic problem

got a problem with an '05 T250. When it warms up, the drive controls (it has sticks, not joysticks) act like the machine still has the parking brake set, and the machine won't move. just for fun i held the traction over-ride button down [what is it anyway] and was then able to slowly get the bobcat inside. i replaced the hydraulic filter and topped off the fluid. i am a little concerned about air in the system, so i let it run with the cap off thinking the vent cap might be plugged-no help. any ideas, thanks!

the traction lock override lets the wheels operate when one of the safeties is off example the bar is up. it sounds like an electrical problem. by slowly got it inside do you mean it was slow or was it just a pain with the traction lock override?

by slow - it was a pain. could be an electronic problem. on the deluxe info panel it shows the hydraulic charge pressure as zero, and hitting the 'help' indicates it could be a bad sensor. i'm just not familiar enough with the systems to know if a bad sensor could make the machine act up. appreciate any input

I'm hot sure how complex the controller is, but the charge pressure is what releases the brake on the track machines. Possibly the controller won't allow to release if it 'thinks' the charge pressure is low....or maybe the pressure really is low?? you'll need to test the charge pressure with a real guage to know if it is just a sensor or something else causing the fault code.

    that sounds logical

Looked under the cab and found a wire disconnected from the pressure sensor - plugged it in and the information panel showed pressure in the 300 psi range. However, the parking brake still won't unlock. Machine can creep backwards, but won't go forwards at all.

Check the brake control valve/solenoid for power. This valve is under the cab, follow the smaller hose coming from each drive motor to this valve. Make sure the wires are connected here and solenoid is in place. If all is in place test for voltage to solenoid (when brake switch is in 'released position'). Probably 12 volts but I'm not certain, but you should get something for voltage. If you have voltage, remove the stem valve that the solenoid mounts on, check for debris/bent stem.
