Takeuchi TB135 Installation and checkout of thumb.

I have a Takeuchi TB135, 2007 year, Purchased a thumb and have a couple of questions, how do I check and adjust the auxiliary hydraulic pressure? The instructions say to adjust the pressure to 1700 psi, where would I find the adjustment? The machine has a valve on one of the auxiliary lines but only on one side of the boom, the other side is just capped off, should there be a valve on both sides? Any information, help or suggestions greatly appreciated, Patrick

Each hydraulic circuit on the machine should have a relief valve, that is the amount of pressure coming from the pump until the relief valve opens and the pressure in that circuit will not go any higher. Those relief valves can usually be adjusted by having the machine shut down, opening up the circuit on the feed side from the pump, attaching pressure gauge and a hand pump(hydraulic), then pumping up the circuit until the pressure stops climbing on the gauge, that is then the pressure in that circuit(relief valve pressure setting). You can then adjust the relief valve and retest the circuit to see what you have changed the relief pressure to. You'll need the shop manual to see where these relief valves are located. Unsure what you are referencing by the valves on the boom.
