Takeuchi TL8 Starting issues

The issue is that on first start up of the day, it will crank longer than normal until it runs, which drains battery. BUTTTTTT, if it is cranked for a couple revolutions, turned back off, then cranked again, it will fire right up as normal. Battery relay connections are clean (no voltage drop to starter motor) and ground stud is clean. Currently accessing schematic to see if any other connections can cause issue. Basically asking if anyone else has came across this problem.

When you crank and stop, heat is building on the piston. Then is always easier to start second or third time unless your battery is down in cranking capacity. As it gets colder out your battery is losing a lot of its capacity. Have you hooked a meter on battery when cranking and seen how low the battery goes down after 5 seconds or so( need two people or a recording meter ) Temperature will determine how low of number it can go, at a specific temperature. Test it and post temperature as well as reading on meter. Make sure battery is fully charged first. Simon C

Did you ever get this problem of yours figured out. Wondering if it was something other than what I posted? Simon C
