Ok not a dozer mechanic but can fix damn near anything but need advise, late last fall dozer started losing power and after 30 seconds stalled , a big pop noise and a small fire (only oil burning) pulled cover and found return oil line from head over to block blew...melted bad , why ?.. repaired , replaced and started right up and ran for 30 seconds ..LOST power and stalled , would not start after that , only tried for a few minutes , never lost oil pressure , not over heated....now been sitting all winter and now gonna start digging into it , this is my toy at my hunting camp , very low hours and well maintained.where do I start .

206 engine?? w/ a Bosch VA pump?? 1st thing is ya gotta make sure is its got fuel in the tank.. Then make sure its making it UP TO the injection pump.. loosen the 17mm banjo bolt up by the block, that goes into the pump & see if theres fuel. IF SO, loosen ALL THE LINES AT THE INJECTORS in the head.. & spin the engine till fuel squirts out.. Do about 5-6, 10 second bursts.. DO NOT burn up the starter.. If you get fuel.. tighten them up & crank.. I THINK theres a glow plug system on that engine.. matter of fact I'm sure of it.. USE the GP's before cranking.. a couple of 10 second holds should do it.. You HAVE TO HAVE FUEL TO the injectors, before it'll fire.. IF it sat all winter & long before THAT.. the fuel is probably bad & should be inspected &/or drained.. DO NOT just "add" some fresh fuel.. Good luck.
