Driving around looking at skid steers find a John deere 318e. Was the size we were looking for so we go in and talk to a salesman. It's a 2015 with 102hrs in it, some demo, the rest used to unload trailers. Asked the price and he said $27k. We jumped on it, can't wait till it gets here

The Deere dealer around here sells certain machines very reasonable like that. Just want them off the books, they're probably deprecited out and they'd rather not recapture all of it. Sometimes a blind squirrel finds an acorn!
the skid steer market has become very competitive. most dealers are in lala land most days. but some days you can get these machines new in the very low 30s; so high 20s for a used unit is not out of line.
That's my guess. He said it hadn't even been purchased so it's still considered new. We figured it up today with rock bucket pallet forks dirt bucket and new trailer we are only in it for $35k
