i cant find a rebuild manual, need to pull injector pump on 6cly engine and cannot locate were the timing marks for tdc of engine is located. any one know were i can find a teardown rebuild manual on the 6cly engine
What kind of injection pump is on that engine.?? It’s possible to get by or cheating if u can time the pump .. On a Bosch P pump, there’s a 10-12mm Allen plug on the side of the pump, towards the front.. When that plug is removed it gives u direct access to the #1 tappet and spring.. U can roll the engine over till that tappet JUST STARTS to RISE.. Then look for your timing marks.. Cuz w that tappet rising, U KNOW your on #1 compression stroke.. On a STANADYNE ROTARY PUMP u can remove the side cover window.. under the cover you’ll see a stationary line and there’s 1 that rotates.. just line up the lines and that’s it.. There’s more..so let us know what pump u have..
