If the flex ring in a DB2 Stanadyne pump disintegrates all the way will it cause the hydraulic head to lock up an not make the engine turn over?
No.. the head has a "shear point" that breaks, TO ALLOW the engine to turn & not cause catastrophic engine damage.. They thought of THAT..yet they put a "plastic" piece inside the pump to disintegrate.. hhmmm
