My service manual says I should run 15 w 40 oil for the torque convertor. Is this normal? I thought you should run Dextron or ATF oil? It's a liugong 842. Like a 938g cat.
Yes, it can be normal. Just pay attention to any special requirements of the oil like Allison C4 etc which declare that they can be used in automatic transmissions.
