I have john deere 570a, transmission slips in 2-4-6th gear. What could be the problem?
Welcome to HEF ss70 . Transmission oil level is correct ? Oil filter been replaced ? I assume the oil smells burnt if the transmission has been slipping for any amount of time. Looking at the clutch/ brake engagement chart in screenshot below, Brake B2 is the only common element in Forward speeds 2, 4 , 6 . Check if you can that the trans also slips in Reverse speeds 2 and 4 as Brake B2 is engaged also. If you are equipped , a transmission pressure test described in the screenshots would be my next step. . .
